    Great option during winter!
    Great deal! My doctor recommended to get a happy light since winter already started, I honestly was very skeptical and did not expect much but I can tell I have felt a difference since I started using it.I normally turn it on in the morning when its still dark and it stays on while im cooking, prep lunch for my son and even when we are all together having breakfast.It’s kind of modern looking and it’s white, so that’s a plus.Love the quality, it doesn’t look or feels cheap.I think the light is bright enough, so it does it’s function.Get it!!

    100% makes a HUGE difference
    I live in WA state but was born in CA, and it’s dark here a LOT from about November to February. I started noticing I was feeling horrible and in a rotten mood during the winters here, so I got this light and it absolutely makes a HUGE difference in my mood and energy levels. It’s sturdy (I’ve accidentally dropped it) and the perfect size to store when you’re not using it. I’ve even used it for more light in a dim room! It’s important to follow the directions and place the light in your field of vision, and I can’t help but feel like a hatching egg sitting next to it 😬🤷‍♀️ but it absolutely helps me get through WA state winters. Highly recommend!

    Very nice “happy light”
    It sat in the box until the week DST happened and then I needed it. Working night shift does not allow for me to see the sun hardly – if ever – during certain parts of the year and DST hit like a ton of bricks this year (probably because I was used to getting plenty of sun outside) prior to that. Had no problem acclimating to the bright light and use it while eating or scrolling on the phone (recommend setting a ten-minute timer when distracted). Using it almost every day at this time and it is helping keep my spirits high.

    It’s not hippy voodoo, it’s science people. Consistency drives the best results.
    I had my doubts when my therapist recommended I give one of these a shot. Its a pretty expensive solution to what I thought was just a lack-of-coffee problem. I’ve had this light for over a year now and would use it on and off inconsistently or in the wrong way but now that I am working from home I have an opportunity to use it properly and placebo affect aside, I am noticing a subtle difference.I started with it in my bathroom next to the sink as I would get ready in the morning <20 mins a day, then put it near my bed and turned it on instead of hitting the snooze button and just hung out in bed with it on next to me before waking up 20-30mins, then tried it at work and pissed off all my coworkers, finally now working from home I got an iPad mount and mounted it just over my desk beaming down on me from a foot or so above my monitors. I use it for an hour or so each morning, sometimes a little longer and consistently, every workday, same time in the morning, about the same time length. This consistency has really led to some noticeable changes.Mornings are still mornings, which I was never good about but I do notice I'm much more alert in the afternoons, I tend to be more talkative, and my motivation to participate and take initiative is up. Before I wasted a lot of time surfing youtube until my day was over then watched TV all evening but now I feel just enough of a kick of energy after lunch to dig into something and by that time I'm off to the races and my engagement in a project kicks in and keeps me going. I have had vitamin D deficiencies for the past few years which this actually has helped to stabilize along with the help of some vitamins and some minor diet stuff. I also suffer from anxiety, depression, and am ADHD. The depression has subsided, my alertness has actually helped with the anxiety because I feel like I can process my thoughts properly, only thing is my ADHD still needs some boundaries. The excess energy does cause me to move around a lot more and I tend to have this "want" to do a bunch of stuff all of a sudden; like I can't just sit still. This is great when I am bored or have to get started on some work, but bad when it comes to staying focused on the work or at 10 at night when I need to wind down.All in all I had my doubts that this was just another hoax product that doesn't actually do anything and my self fulfilling prophetic approach got me just that, no results. But now that I use it properly I have noticed some slight changes. More than that I receive comments from others which reflect my energy levels and mood which reinforces the fact that I am not the only one seeing a difference. My family comments that I'm much more talkative and seem to be in a good mood more often, my co-workers are more receptive to my feedback and complement my work, and my friends are happy to see me coming out to hang out more often instead of going into hibernation.

    The science is sound
    I live in an are with rather dark winters, and I have noticed that my mood seems to be reflecting that darkness lately. So I did some research and got this Light Therapy Lamp. I know the science behind it is sound, so I figured it was worth a try.The lamp is easy to use, the detachable stand allows it to be oriented either horizontally or vertically, and it gives off a LOT of light – I could easily use this in place of a reading lamp. I haven’t had this long enough to comment on how well it improves my mood, but I am optimistic.

    It’s Bright!!!
    Every year I struggle with SAD, seasonal affective disorder, I’ve tried lots of different things to help combat it. My doctor suggested getting a light and I couldn’t be happier!! It’s bright and took about 3 days to get use to using it. I’m so glad I stuck with it. It’s really made a huge impact especially regulating my sleep cycle and being able to wake up not feeling completely drained.

    Happy Light indeed!
    I had this device recommended by my sleep doctor. Amazing results. He uses it to suppress my melatonin release. I use it for 15 minutes before my planned bed time (four hours later). Immediately improves my mood. And now for the first time in a long time, I was able to sleep for eight hours. Very happy with the light. The device says “happy light” on the bottom. Now I know why!

    Not really my thing.
    We are having lots of rain lately, so I’ve been using this light every morning and I am not sure what my opinion is. It’s very bright and I don’t like it in my eyes, so I just turn the light away from me and it’s still bright and still bothering my eyes. Basically, I have to hide the lamp completely, so I don’t have eye contact with it but still able to enjoy the light from the wall. And it is pretty bright even on the wall. So, for me this doesn’t work unless i just want to light up some walls or dark corners.

    Not even kidding, thing thing has changed my life.I grew up in Southern California and moved to Eastern Canada 6 years ago. For the past couple of years I’ve been noticing low energy and just overall sadness that would come over me in the winters and I figured it was just the crappy Quebec weather. I then started hearing about Seasonal Affective Disorder a few years back, but didn’t think that I had it. Low and behold, the sadness this year got really terrible (and I am a generally happy person), so I decided to get this light (I’ve heard about these types of lights before) just for the reason that I wanted to get better and wanted to try the light therapy method. I have a background in psychology and I am always extremely skeptical about products that are meant to help and whether the placebo effect goes into play. So I try my best to stay as objective as possible and kind of expect things to not work and then see what happens. Well, this light is incredible. The first morning that I had it, I put it on right after waking up and I gave it 20 min, but it actually annoyed me, so I figured it won’t work, but I’ll entertain the idea and give it a go at the office. Game changer. I put it on as directed at 10 or 2 at the proper distance from the face for 30 min and actually found it really, very pleasant (but fyi, it is very bright). I then turned it off, and a funny thing started to happen, I started to miss it being on!! I was very surprised. When I put it back on, it was overly stimulating at the 10 or 2 position, but I really wanted it on, so I put it behind me (a foot behind me at about an 8 or 4 position if looking at a clock and 12 being my computer screen). It was amazing. I left it on for 6-8 hours and I couldn’t go without it for a week. Now I use it when I feel I need it, so maybe 2-3 hours some days, some more, some not at all. We have had very little sunshine this winter and I recommend to anyone that is even remotely entertaining the thought to try a lamp like this to not even hesitate. It’s amazing!!! And this one is the size of a tablet, so it fits anywhere and very light to carry, not flimsy or fragile at all, well built.

    This has made a huge difference in my daughter’s life! She is studying ballet/ dance full time in the UK…The dreary weather difference of England from where she is from in America( and the fact that she walked to the school before light, no windows in studios, and walked home after 5pm in the winter) was getting her down. As soon as I got this for her( she used it while she puts on her makeup and eats her breakfast) she felt SO much better- happier and energetic! 😎👍🏻☀️

    Je travaille de nuit et j’habite au Québec, donc mon horaire fait en sorte que je vois très peu la lumière du jour durant les longs mois d’hiver. La dépression saisonnière me frappe à chaque année. J’ai bon espoir que cette lampe m’aidera à améliorer ma qualité de vie.Je l’ai reçue hier et ma première séance est déjà faite. La lampe est très légère et simple d’utilisation. Elle peut se transporter facilement dans un sac ou une valise. J’apprécie particulièrement le pieds amovible qui nous permet d’ajuster l’angle de la lampe à notre guise, que ce soit de façon verticale ou horizontale. Je recommande!

    It isn’t compatible with uk adapters and can cause interference with other items such as tv, therefore I will have to return it unfortunately.
