Light Up Your Life
I did not purchase this light for its therapeutic effects, and cannot speak to those claims. I purchased it because I suffer from low vision, in particular a loss of contrast. I find myself dreading sunset and cloudy days. My hope was that this light, used as a reading lamp, would enable me to easily see and read in those conditions. And so it does.It was so easy to assemble that I didn’t even have to look at the instructions. It comes with the only tool I needed. I love that it has a tilt feature, a choice of four brightness settings, and a handy timer so that I can set it for automatic shut off in 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. I also love that it can be removed from the arm and hung on a wall or placed on a tabletop supported by the kickstand.In my opinion this is a very thoughtfully designed light that has completely changed my attitude about the weather or time of day. If I had three wish’s it would be that I had known about it sooner, that it was on a swivel base and that it could be detached from the arm without having to remove the four screws.

Sturdy and bright
Brightest light therapy light I’ve ever purchased. It has 4 levels and I’ve had to work my way up to level 3. Hard to say if it’s helping yet but it feels good to sit beside on a gloomy morning. Very sturdy, clean look, but it is rather large. I’d buy one even bigger if it really helps SAD so that doesn’t bother me.

Miracle light

Hight adjustment doesn’t work
This light would be perfect except for the fact that it won’t stay up. You can adjust the height above a desk but it randomly falls down with a loud bang. Mechanism designed to keep an elevated is poorly designed and not strong enough. Unfortunately there is no way to adjust this that I can find. Super disappointing because the light is good otherwise.

The stand is not good. Put it on a monitor arm. Strong chemical smell.
Overall, it feels cheap. It has an offensive and strong chemical smell. The light works and it’s very bright. The stand doesn’t work very well. It’s hard to get the light to stay at a desired height – especially at the top of the range. I bought this one because it was the only one I saw that supported a VESA mount. I was planning to put it on a desk-mount monitor arm anyway, so the stand is less of a concern for me, but for others, beware.

Feels cheap, works well
Feels pretty cheap. But it’s really light. I like that it takes a standard vesa mount. Put it on a monitor mount over my monitors at my desk and it’s very bright.For people complaining about the brightness advertised, this is because it’s based on distance. 12k is the lux straight out of the light but no one puts their face up against the light. So they changed the listing to say 10k at 1 foot which is still accurate but it’s more helpful of a measurement.

You will wake up!
This thing is ridiculously bright. If you wake up drowsy, or think “let me sleep another 30min.” do yourself a favor and get this lamp. Even if you wake up tired, after this thing is at your face for 10 minutes you will be fully awake. You won’t even care about sleeping again. You will be ready to go about your day. It gets your circadian rhythm going at the right direction and in the evening you will naturally get sleepy, take that train and do the sleeparoo. You will feel great the next day by waking up naturally before your alarm even rings. Do this light every day for 10-30 minutes and your body will feel great. I wake up usually before the sun is out (6AM or so), it really doesn’t matter if it’s winter or not. It will help your body understand, it’s time to wake up and in the evening to sleep. This thing is absolutely great and I’d say it is worth it.

I received this therapy lamp from Amazon a couple days ago. The item was well packed.Assembly is easy. Just 6 screws with an included screw driver. The power button and settings buttons are soft touch and intuitive to use. The build is solid and design really nice and really puts out 4 light levels.I look forward to using this lamp in the winter months as I suffer every year from seasonal affective disorder.I guess you could use this also as a general purpose lamp as well.

Excellent sun lamp and really does the job. I have used small sun lamps to no avail. They just weren’t big enough to deliver enough therapeutic light unless they were uncomfortably close to my face. I have this one on a stand next to an armchair. I’m able to angle it down so I get the the light at the right angle for my eyes. I use it each morning when I’m doing my Bible reading, so it’s easy to incorporate into my day. It has made so much difference. I live in a Northern climate and it’s dark at 3:30 or 4pm right now. This lamp helps me feel more energy during the Fall/winter, helps my mood, and especially has helped me sleep better. Usually this time of year my circadian rhythm gets messed up and I don’t get quality sleep…the other lamps haven’t helped with that but this one has. The other benefit is that unlike other ones I’ve tried this one doesn’t give me headaches. Be sure to use it early enough in the day, preferably within 30 minutes of waking and don’t use it for more than 30 minutes.

I like the mounting and position options.My experience has been positive.I spend 45 minutes in front of the light in the early morning.Placed hanging about 18 inches in front of me .The bottom of the light box about forehead level and tilted down at my face roughly simulates the angle that sunlight would travel to my eyes.I feel energized and alert after using it and now wake up on my own just before my alarm sounds. My usage has been fairly punctual.I wasn’t sure if light therapy was going to work for me but I can honestly report that it has and I’m glad I started. Winter isn’t gloomy anymore for me.
