Great activity lamp!
Love this lamp, I use it to help me wake up in the mornings and for puzzles. Its very bright if you want it to be and dim when you dont. Was easy to assemble. Love the flexible neck makes it very functional.

nice lamp
We bought two more. Easy assembly. Gives ability to adjust light level and tone/color. Very nice for reading or needle work. Can use as a floor lamp or not add extensions and use as a table/desk lamp. Base is not extremely heavy but OK for stability, adjustable to allow you to direct light where you need.

As advertised, the height is perfect for sitting under, easy to put together, comes with remote also easy to use , has multiple settings witch I like, helps on gloomy days to brighten my day I just feel better when I use my lamp great product if you can get at a lower price was advertised as 149.00 got for 99.00 just was reduced no specific reason so it was a little more affordable for me.

Very impressive lamps with GREAT QUALITY
The only reason I gave the product 4 out of 5 stars is that Amazon pulled a fast one. I bought two of the lamps for ninety-nine bucks each (thinking it was a great deal as it listed for seventy bucks higher) on Prime Deals Day. They were delivered quickly. Impressed with the quality, four days later I decided to buy one more lamp, only to discover that they were marked down an additional 15 bucks each! To Amazon’s credit they made the adjustment. Caveat Emptor!Now let’s talk about the product. Easy assembly…took less than 5 minutes. You must pair the remote to the lamp, which was easy. The multi function remote takes a little getting used to, but works well. Adjusting the color temp and brightness was easy. Several pre-sets on the remote are OK, but maybe not practical. They did include the AAA batteries for the remote which I thought was a nice touch. The lamps have heavily weighted bases and seem to be very sturdy. The gooseneck was easy to adjust to the angle I needed. I was very impressed with how bright the lamp is, which is why I wanted to order a third for a task light. The other two I ordered have a specific purposed will remain stationary. The design is modern and sleek. It comes in black or white so will blend with most decor. The power cord is attached half-way up the pole which may or may not be good for your purpose. It doesnt really matter to me, but the cord is a bit shorter than I would have liked. I cannot comment on the longevity of the lamps which is a bit concerning as they are not exactly cheap. The light source (bulbs? LEDs?) is not replaceable so if it fails, you will have to replace the entire lamp. That is really the only down-side to what appears to be a good product. My only suggestion is that perhaps an added magnet for the remote would be nice, so you could attach it to the light pole when not in use. Also, they did pair differently! Even thought I have two remotes for two lamps, each lamp needs its own dedicated remote. I had to mark which remote paired with which lamp with a color dot sticker. Not a big deal. I did not try to pair them together with one remote…that might work. I am very pleased with the lamps.

Very Nice Bright Light
I returned the first one not understanding the extra plastic part you need to remove and throw away to assemble. I finally found the instructions and it was easy to assemble and figure out how to get the light the way you want. You barely touch the pole to get it to react. Very EASY to turn on and off. I had a dark corner behind me nothing seems to cover. Now I can read books, draw and do other things with plenty of light! I have two other Ott lights, much older than this and they do not give off as much light. This is all a good height for the chair I sit in and have it to the side and behind my chair. Very happy with this light and how it is designed to help your eyes unlike standard lighting, which is often detrimental.Decades ago tests were done in several schools where half the lights were left being fluorescent and half replaced with the non flickering, full spectrum Ott lights. The children in those rooms were sick much less often and their learning skills improved. However, the schools naturally did not want to have to buy the more expensive lights.Mr. Ott discovered this on an assignment for Disney if I remember correctly. He had to do some slow motion photography of flowers growing and the standard lights were killing some of the flowers. He finally came up with his Ott light that helped them grow naturally, so he could photograph them in his studio growing. …. and in the end, they were more beneficial for humans too. Although that was not his intention in creating them at first. I find my eyes tire much less than when I read under standard lights! I recommend them to friends who use them for crafts, reading, cooking and things requiring adequate, healthy light.

This is the best SAD light for it’s lighting options, flexibility and adjustment options and the fact I can use it as a puzzle light and not just for light therapy. I got one for my father I. law and it is perfect for his bright lighting needs.

Remote Control Does Not WOrk
The lamp itself was as advertised. Appears to be well built and of good quality, and works great! The problem is with the remote, which does not work. It neither pairs with the lamp nor appears to even turn on, even with fresh batteries. This seems to be a common failing wit this product. The most aggravating part is that you cannot get a replacement remote unless you return the whole product, which is a lot of hassle for such a small item. That is why I only rated it with three stars. If not for the remote I would have rated it as a five-star item.
