Seems Overpriced
This Genucel XV anti-aging moisturizer feels pleasant when you apply it to your skin. It’s like your skin just soaks up the ingredients, like the hyaluronic acid and CoQ10. It made my skin feel soft, smooth and moisturized. Perhaps it will work on fine lines over time. The cream is semi-thick, opaque, pale yellow and unscented. It’s easy to massage in, but does feel a little tacky until it is fully absorbed. I think it is a nice cream, but I think it’s on the pricey side for what it offers.

Wonderful moisturizer
This is a great high quality face moisturizer for mature skin. I have used it both in the morning and in the evening. The consistency of the cream is wonderful and you can easily apply make up over it. It’s not too thick and it’s not runny, so it blends in and gets absorbed very quickly. It also layers well with other skin care products such as serums. Overall, my skin feels very plump and this is during a very dry winter time.

Not what I hoped for
Ugh, I’m so disappointed with this face cream. I guess my expectations were high since it costs $100+. There were no ingredients in the Amazon product listing, and when I checked their website, there no ingredients listed there either. Now that I’ve received the product, seen the list, and tried it, I can safely say that the formulation is lackluster at best.It does spread easily, likely due to the large amount of silicones. Silicones tend to give skin that silky feeling. The large amount of glycerin also helps with hydration. I’m glad it doesn’t have any added fragrances. It has that slightly chemical smell of products without perfumes, but it’s light and it dissipates quickly. It’s not bothersome at all.Maybe I need to use the entire jar before I see benefits, but 1 week in, there’s nothing to write home about. The entire experience is lackluster. The box and design feels and looks cheap, and the jar is lightweight plastic. It doesn’t come with an inner lid, so open it carefully. The actual jar doesn’t look like the product photo, and the ingredients listed on the box do not match the ones listed on the jar. There’s no mention of where this is made.I’m not expecting this to miraculously take years off my face, but nothing that’s a cream really can. It does moisturize, and so far, that’s about it.Both the box and jar arrived unsealed.

Lots of good ingredients. Some not-so-good ones.
Let’s start with what i like about this formulation: (1) Peptides; Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 (2) Antioxidants: Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Ubiquinone (Coenzyme Q10) (3) Niacinamide and (4) Hydrators (that cause plumping of skin) Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycerin, Aloe Juice, Squalane. Taken together, it’s well-formulated for “anti-aging”, as it claims.However… it also has additives that I’m far less enthusiastic about; PEGs, some preservatives, and fragrance ingredients (which can mask things like pthalates). The biggest concern is Ceteareth-20.It is nice and creamy and feels good on. However, I wish it had listed the ingredients in the listing, since i have skin sensitivities (and I’m crunchy in general), and I’m very picky about what i put on my skin.

Not worth the price
I wanted to love this. The cream is a nice buttery texture, spreads nicely, absorbs quickly. Doesn’t have much of a scent at all, which is good. Cream did not cause any irritation. Skin is slightly softer after application, for a few minutes, but that’s it. Not the most hydrating or smoothing cream I’ve used. I realize most products show the most significant benefits over time, but I have others that work like that, and they do show some benefits very quickly.The jar branding is different than the listing image, and the box has no mention at all of Chamonix which is on the jar. It’s very hard to compare the ingredients list on the box to that on the jar, but I did notice some differences. Couldn’t find a full list on the company website either.If this was worth the price tag, I would say so.
