Nice compact blook pressure monitor.
Compact and visually pleasing unit. It works well and takes ittle space. If one wanted to travel with tis monitor, it is small enough to fit in without taking space or adding weight to you baggage. It is easy to use and easy to read. I wish it would highlight in green/yellow/red the level of your blood pressure. My other monitor does which is very convenient.

I’m replacing the same whole model I originally purchased from Rite-Aid. The upgraded model is much better than the prior 600 series model. Despite Rite-Aid Store closer. “Microife” take a licking and keeps on moving.

We like BP monitors with a wired USB cable and desktop PC software: This is the best we’ve found.
Note: I don’t give 5-star reviews for consumer-electronics items unless they meet certain criteria *including* that I’ve used them for their full usable life spans. An important component of “value” (IMHO) for such devices, products, etc., is that they do what they’re designed to do, and do it well, for the ___ number of years that we (should) expect. (We’ve only used this device for 2+ months.)Although not certified for accuracy, we checked with our PCP nursing staff and found the BP measurements are well within tolerances (to our satisfaction). An important consideration for purchasing a BP monitor of course.We had an earlier model (now over 13 years old) Microlife BP monitor that needed to be replaced.We do like the design of Microlife BP monitors, esp. the models with a USB cable and software for desktop PCS (we’re using Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit).We do like the Microlife desktop software, and were happy to see that the configuration from our previous Microlife BP monitor was still usable for our new device. (We did set up a new profile for the new device. We can still access and view our older device’s readings, history, etc.)

Consistency issues
I needed a monitor that accommodated a larger arm size, and this does that. But weirdly enough, I found this hard to position even with the “sure fit” molded cuff. I kept getting cuff fit errors and also the error for too much variance between the top and bottom numbers. I ended up buying a larger cuff for a standard size monitor I already had at home and when I compared, I noticed that unit inflated to 180 mmHg every time. This Microlife unit inflates to a different number every time, anywhere from 160-210 mmHg. Also this takes a full 90 seconds to measure BP and deflates 1 mmHG at a time, so when it goes up over 180 it literally cut off blood flow and my fingers were all pins and needles. Planning to return as I think this may be a defective unit.

Learn from my mistake get an “O” brand.
Unit inself seems well built and is pretty easy to use. The Diastolic readings seem okay ish, but the Systolic readings are very wrong, 20 to 30 points high, very inaccurate. I compared the reading at my Doctors office and it was off by over 20 points.Eventually I gave up and bought a similar “O” brand unit. It has a similar pre-formed cuff. The usage of the unit is much the same, but the readings are much closer to reality, 20 to 30 points lower then the Microlife for Systolic readings.So if you want accuracy, avoid this unit. I kept mine too long, believing I was at fault, so I can’t return what is now e-waste.

QUALITY CONTROL ON PRODUCT
Purchased to replace an existing MicroLife (ML) BP monitor. The unit itself had a noisy air pump along with a LOW contrast display, where the display BP digits were not “easily” discernible without adding some sort of additional light placed on the screen. The “ML” unit considered for replacement/update has a better screen digits contrast. The hard cuff worked well and it can contribute to more accurate BP readings, due to its arm position conformance and tension.I have to report that the unit performed in line with another “ML” monitor and an Equate monitor; using the same upper arm cuff without removing the BP cuff, it was merely unplugged and then plugged into the other BP monitors used in the BP accuracy test. One cannot state that the BP readings from the three BP monitors were in compliance with a “professional” BP monitor; however, the consistency between the three monitors can indicate ACCURATE trend BP overtime trend lines of BP measurements. One can use a BP monitor “corrective” value to equate the personal BP monitor with an MD’s BP monitor.The measured BP of the three BP monitors were within 3 points of each other, and that variation of the 3 points may be due to the fact that all three monitors were setup to take 3 readings on each of them and then averaging each of the BP readings separately. TWO BP monitors had the same reading, whilst anoher had a 3 pt higher reading. I was surprised at the accuracy between all three BP monitors, and again two ML monitors and one Equate monitor were used to learn of the BP measurements capabilities.View the “ML” chart to obtain an understanding of how the USB connected PC can receive data from the ML BP monitor. Trend lines of BP can indicate the effects that a medication is having on one’s BP system. There are other types of BP screens. The screen presents on the top is “systolic” and beneath the top data is “diastolic; followed by the below data that is PULSE data. The blue data contains “systolic and diastolic” data values.The unit is to be returned due to the “noisy” motor, low screen information contrast, that for my needs , requires an additional light source to view the screen BP data.
